The Uhrig Lab for Astrobotany
Astrobotany (n): Astrobotany is an applied sub-discipline of botany that is the study of plants in space environments. It is a branch of astrobiology and botany. It has been a subject of study that plants may be grown in outer space typically in a weightless but pressurized controlled environment in specific space gardens.
Colloquially, astrobotany is what Matt Damon spends two and half hours trying to do in the Martian (Scott et al., 2015). It is also the driving force behind the Uhrig Lab, whose Supreme Leader, Prof. Dr. R. Glen Uhrig believes he can do all things better than Matt Damon, including growing potatoes in space.
